What is Plain Method?
Plain Method is a growing store of focused software for repetitive work. We discover a clear job, build a useful tool around it, and make it straightforward to understand and use. Plain Method is our working brand.
Are these AI tools?
Each tool starts with the work it needs to do. Some future tools may use AI when it helps; Change Check compares spreadsheets using explicit identifiers and rules. AI is not a requirement for the library.
Do I need a subscription?
Individual tools will have their own purchase terms. Change Check has a US$19 one-time launch license planned for public release. Plain Method Pass is a separate, coming-soon membership option.
Can I buy tools individually?
Yes. Individual purchase is part of the store model. You keep the version and license you purchased according to that product’s terms. Purchasing is not yet enabled in this preview.
What is Plain Method Pass?
A planned membership for access to eligible Plain Method tools while membership is active. Pricing, the eligible library and any member benefits will be announced before launch.
Are these desktop apps or web apps?
The store is designed for desktop and browser tools, with requirements stated on each product page. Change Check is a pre-release desktop product: Mac first, Windows coming.
Do I need a setup call?
Our goal is zero-touch software: understand the tool, install it, choose the inputs it needs and get a useful result. No sales call or implementation project should be needed.
How do updates work?
Update and upgrade terms will be stated for each product before purchase. A one-time purchase does not promise every future major version or every future Plain Method product.
