From PDF to a result you can inspect.
Use the target size to guide compression, then inspect the saved file yourself. Underlimit does not submit the document for you.
Open Underlimit
Launch the app from your Applications folder.
Choose a PDF
Select one PDF that you are allowed to process. The original is not overwritten.
Set the target size
Enter the maximum file size required by the receiving site or portal.
Compress
Underlimit works locally on your Mac and checks candidate results.
Read the outcome
SUCCESS means this selected target was reached. TARGET_NOT_REACHED means the target could not be reached safely.
Save and inspect the result
Save as a new file, then open it to confirm its clarity, pages and content suit your use.
Confirm the output is suitable for your submission. TARGET_NOT_REACHED is an explicit safe outcome: inspect the safest result or adjust your target; do not treat it as meeting the limit.
Your original PDF stays unchanged; every compressed result is saved separately.
